The Lanman Museum contains a variety of artefacts with a connection to Framlingham and the surrounding area.
For more information, see the “What is in the Museum” drop-down menu above, or see the Pictorial tour of the Museum.
Examples of the contents include:
- Household and farm implements
- Clothing and uniforms
- Photographs
- Paintings and other works of art, including paintings and drawings by Leonard Squirrell, Joseph Stannard and John Western
- Newspapers and journals (including the Framlingham Weekly News)
- Railway artefacts relating to the former Framlingham branch line.
On many of the pages there are photos or paintings, and in most cases you can click on the image to see a larger version (use the browser “back” button to go back to the page containing the image).
There is much more in the collection than can be shown in the museum, and we try to rotate the selection on display from time to time. The entire collection can be searched here.
